Animals are not as sensitive to the phenol and sesquiterpene constituents of essential oils, so they can be applied neet (full strength); apply a few drops 3-4 times daily. The amount for small animals such as cats and dogs is like the application for a child: 1-3 drops each time applied. For larger animals like large dogs, apply 6-7 drops. For horses, apply 15-20 drops. Not recommended for direct application on birds. Oils can be applied in the following ways: *apply on paws (fast absorption) *on cloven-hoofed animals, dab onto the auricular points of the ears and/or spine - or both *mix with Self-Heal Flower Essence Skin Creme and apply to skin - an extremely effective healing combination *rub a few drops on the spine and massage into skin, or on area of the body where needed *mix in water and utilize in a misting bottle *utilize an aromatherapy lamp or diffuser Note: Some dogs have extremely acute olfactory senses and may not like the use of essential oils.
